In Suzuki USA’s H.Q.,the greater Los Angeles area, there is one dealership selling Suzukis,it’s located in Santa Ana(Down by Disneyland). I would also like to assure everyone that one of the world’s safest drinking games could quite possibly be “Spot the Suzuki Kizashi or SX4 Sportback on LA streets or freeways to date.” If I relied upon this game for c ocktailular activities, I could easily have become an Islamic Mormon by now.The Score? For me so far,its five Kizashis, and zero Sportbacks. Other Suzukis don’t really count, as their numbers are also in a steady state Daewooian decline. It makes Mitsubishi seem almost relevant,by comparison.

I really do like the Suzuki brand. Just bought a New Grand Vitara '12 for my winter beater sad thing is, was a week before they anounced going bankrupt. I could of saved another grand easy. So far 6k miles and no problem besides the poor fuel economy but hey its all wheel drive. The price was still a good 5k less then any other brand and was fully loaded. I also didn't like the Kisashi crack when they came out no other automaker could touch what that was in terms of what you got and value. Hell if the malibu was AWD its still smaller then the Kizashi belive it or not may say midsize but when in it feals like a Impala size wise.

I've heard that Japanese automakers get a tax credit in their home country for posting an overseas loss (possibly USA specific). That might be reason enough to continue a hopeless operation in America.

You ever hear on the radio, some sad news about the passing of some ancient Hollywood celebrity... but you think to yourself, "Wait a second... I thought THAT guy died, like, 15 years ago!?!" That's kind of the same feeling I got when hearing that Suzuki was going the way of the Mighty Yugo.

They are only pulling out of the US market. They will continue to sell cars everywhere else they are currently sold. The S-Cross will likely be tweaked, get relabelled as the SX4, and go on sale in Japan, Canada, Europe & elsewhere in a couple years.
