Most trucks have the ideal suspension setup for drag racing. A full frame, solid rear axle, and leaf springs are all perfect for drag racing. The truck is even better if it has 4WD (for quick 60' launches). The only real disadvantage for trucks is weight but you can reduce weight on a truck pretty easily.
Above all....you gotta admit it's cool when a truck beats a car that is "supposed" to be quick.

That publicity stunt by Toyota is a disgrace! Anyone can do this!

I'm not toyota biased but if you havent driven a Tundra you have no idea how nice that truck is and how much power it really has. It's very impressive. As far as publicity every car maker has silly commercials. Not like you havent seen Charlie Sheen in a house flying around in a Fiat 500... Just sayin. They are in the business to sell cars.

The Tundra is a nice truck if you own a gas station.

I love how you guys hate a Ford that's engineered, built and profits go the the US so much that you root for a Toyota. Crazy.

Show me a "stock" SS Camaro that will run 11's?

Everyone thinks it's funny this Toyota beat the Mustang.
Line that same truck up against any stock SS Camaro, and the results would have been the same.
Wouldn't be laughing then I bet.

X2.

Based on his threads, it is an LS (Non SS) Monte Carlo with mufflers and an Intake. SS's were running 16's, so I guess he is around there. Unless he has something under the hood we don't know about.

So, a HEAVILY modded Tundra, that got the hit and beat the driver at the tree, beats a Stock 2012 that we know has run faster bone stock. So now, all Mustangs are slow.

For that matter a ZL1 wouldn't have done any better
