2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Is Amazing!

What you think?

0-60mph in 3.1 sec.
0-100mph in 7.1 sec.
1/4 mile 11.1 sec.
And the top speed is 211mph

Sweet Ferrari. Awesome. Super exotic! At 330K, for the affluent... for mere mortals, I'd be satisfied with a new C7 Stingray.

Nice, I always preferred the f/r ferrari's. Really like the 599 also.

Looks like the new stingray took a lot of styling from it....

Google the images of both in different windows, switch back and forth and you'll see what I mean!

Either way, they're both bad ass!

That's a beautiful car. I have to ask, to those that know, why 12 cylinders?
The GTR offers 545 HP and 463 Torque with a 6 cylinder engine.
The ZR1 offers 638 HP and 604 Torque with an 8 cylinder engine.
They both have force induction(don't know if Ferrari does or not), but I would think that Ferrari could do with a 10 cylinder engine or possibly even 8 cylinders.

The car is Naturally Aspirated, no Supercharger or Turbocharger. Sure Ferrari could use a V8 with a supercharger or a V6 with Twin Turbos, but then it would take all of the Magic out of the car. A Ferrari F12 without a V12 is like a having sex and forgetting to bring the woman, you still gave an orgasm but it's just not as satisfying....

In short 12 Cylinders just because, there is no reason other than because they can!

I can see how the new Stingray and the new Ferrari share styling cues.

It gives it a unique sound, that is for sure. It is part of the exclusivity of having a car like that. Millions of cars have v8's and v6's, but you are in select company when you have a v12.

I'm an engineer, so I think it is dumb, but then again, I am not "burdened" with the resources to entertain the thought of buying a $300k car. Not too many engineers buying those cars.
