Have you ever had problems with condensation/moisture forming on the inside of the windshield? We found the inside of the windshield fogged up when we got home today. (it sat out between the house & shed all day in about 33-36 degree weather).

Well the title is in hand. I go in the morning to get the tags. Next I need to find a god deal on some good tires.

Condensation/moisture on inside of windshield might indicate a leaking heater core (especially if it gets worse as engine warms up). Does the defroster take care of the moisture on windshield? If not, you might want to have the heater core checked.
The outside temperature and dew point can affect moisture on your windshield too. Hopefully it's just the weather....

Hubby just called & he is getting the oil changed right now. We will still need to get the other fluids changed too. Things are coming along nicely now.

What do we need to watch out for with these issues? My husband also has a 2001 Yukon which could also have similar issues.

I think it was Truckin' magazine that did a junkyard build on a 5.3 liter. They worked thier way up to 1490 h.p. on 80+ dyno pulls before it bent a rod. That 5.3 it tough.

Yea I had mine greased twice and the shaft replaced once. The 2nd greasing actually stopped it. The steering shaft issue was also previlant on the impalas too. I had the same issue on our car

The truck is at the dealership getting fluids changed & a good checking out. One more thing off the check list. This thing needs a name but nothing is coming to me yet. I think when I get to drive it more, it will click at some point.

Update

I have decided to name the truck Daddy's Girl. I was sort of a Daddy's girl & this truck was daddy's baby so it fits. Now we have started modding the truck ( yeah, I know, it is an illness, but it is fun). The cool thing is that since the truck in definately not new, but not old enough to be a classic, the mods are pretty reasonably priced. Well that is except for the cold air intakes. I have yet to find one of those I like the look and performance of that is priced within reason. The fluids have been flushed & a new battery bought & installed. Now we just need tires. Here is a pic of some of the mods we have bought so far. Just waiting for a break in the weather to install.

The 99' to 06' Chevy/GMC trucks are the best GM has ever built in my opinion.

My 2000 Silverado has over 200K miles on it and EVERYTHING still works as good as new.
Very easy to work on and maintain.Less complicated than the new ones and NO AFM to deal with as well.

I could certainly afford a new Chevy Truck...but why?
I love it and it has never let me down in 13 years.

Only water pump, fuel pump, alternator,ABS module have been replaced.
1 new set of brakes pads at 145K miles

You will have many, many years of life out of your new truck.

I wish our Camaro's paint job was a thick and durable as that series of Trucks. The paint wears like Iron even if neglected and they were virtually orange peel free, not like today's Trucks.

You scored a great one!
