HUGE Toyota Recalls

http://bottomline.nbcnews.com/_news/...-16-years?lite

I'm mainly posting this so that if anyone owns one of these vehicles or knows someone that does they can get it taken in.

Relevant text:
Quote:
The latest recall is the result of a problem with a potentially defective power window switch on the driver’s side of the affected vehicles which, the maker says, “may experience a “notchy” or sticky feel during operation. If commercially available lubricants are applied to the switch in an attempt to address the “notchy” or sticky feel, melting of the switch assembly or smoke could occur and lead to a fire under some circumstances.”
Quote:
In the U.S., the vehicles involved in the latest recall include:
2007 – 2009 Camry sedans, approx. 938,100 vehicles;
2007 – 2009 Camry Hybrids, approx. 116,800 vehicles;
2007 – 2009 RAV4 crossovers, approx. 336,400 vehicles;
2007 – 2009 Tundra pickups, approx. 337,100 vehicles;
2007 – 2008 Yaris subcompacts, approx. 110,300 vehicles;
2008 Highlander SUVs, approx. 135,400 vehicles;
2008 Highlander Hybrids, approx. 23,200 vehicles;
2008 – 2009 Scion xD models, approx. 34,400 vehicles;
2008 – 2009 Scion xA models, approx. 77,500 vehicles;
2008- 2009 Sequoia SUVs, approx. 38,500 vehicles;

The way it's written, they're trying to tell people that the recall is for convenience. Let's all totally disregard the risk of fire.

Safety to all those owners till they get in for a "swap-out".

I would just ignore the "notchy" switch. Let it be notchy

That's right! 2012 has never been good to Toyota car company. Huge recalls have been reported due to its engine problem. I don't think they have bigger sales from the past year and until now they will suffer from this bad image they have brought to consumers. As this, it was reported that the recall is yet again over air bag issues, and affects such diverse models as the Avalon, Prius, Camry, Sequoia and Tacoma for model years from 2009 to 2013. In all, 3,235 cars, trucks and SUVs are affected.

Thoughts??
