Brake Lines

Are there any replacement lines for the SS that are longer that would work for a cts-v front brake conversion?

JDP Motorsports sells a Goodridge braided line specifically for their CTS-V conversion. Get in touch with them and they'll get you squared away

I didn't take comparison pics of stock vs goodridge. I could swear I took 1 but its MIA. The JDP goodridge and pedders are the 2 I know of.

Goodridges ones were nice although i would like a slightly wider copper washer and contact patch on the ends. They're sealing ok though.

I was going to just run with the stock lines but don't want to stretch the line so I think jdp is going to get more of my money.

Doesn't make sense to upgrade to CTS-V brakes and not upgrade to stainless lines anyway. You should convert over to DOT4 fluid while you at it as well.

I've seen a bunch of different stainless brake lines. I've got some work soon to be done to my car coming up so the brake lines aren't on my immediate to do list, however I will be sending my calipers off to mike the powder coater guy so when I do that, would be the perfect time to do the brake lines.

I've seen the Granatelli Motorsports Stainless Steel Brake Lines and also the Goodridge and some others. Is there one that really stands up better than the other?

Well, it does help if they are DOT approved which the Goodrich are IIRC.

for the great folks at JDP.

It's where I got mine.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

We use Goodridge brake lines on 95%+ of our shop installs. They have been track proven time and time again.
