Leaked Again: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Rear

The rear end appears to have a black diffuser panel at the bottom in the cover shot, which was missing from the previous renderings. The black lower half makes the back a lot better looking to me.

The other thing I see is that there is a crease line where the back bevels inward towards the taillights. Look to ether side of the corvette logo and you can see a sharp line cutting inwards to the lights. This was not shown in the renderings, and the back looks way better with this extra dimension. Most of the renderings has a very flat 2 dimensional tail.

I'm not liking the tears coming from the lights, but the cover photo the look less annoying because I don't see a bunch of busy vent slots inside. It may be there, but hidden by the dark color. This is better than the renderings.

I want to like it so much....I hope the reveal gives us some design details we haven't yet seen. I want to love this car lol.

I know all that, it does not answer my question. Nowhere has anyone said before the C7 would be called the Stingray. So why are both magazines saying "Stingray Returns"

Some design sketches had small Stingray badges on the fenders. Whether or not that's true or production intent is still up in the air.

I was at a car show today in Knoxville and someone had a corvette with a 3d stingray similar to that emblem molded into the hood. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture because of all the people milling around the car kept getting in the way.

i sure wish they'd do that Stingray rear instead of the drawings we've been seeing.
