My schedule keeps fluctuating so yeah but I like it. The world is a different place when I'm awake and everyone else is sleeping.

You guys ever tried Melatonin to help you sleep when you need it? It is an OTC you can get at any drug store or WalMart in the supplements section. It is what our docs recommend first before any Rx. They even recommend it for our little preschoolers. It is worth a shot. Sleep deprivation is a very bad thing for both your physical health & mental health. Just my 2 cents.

I have heard very good things abut melatonin. Studys are also starting to show that those who dont sleep well are more at risk for alzheimer's. So give it a shot you need your sleep.

I had a problem with not being able to sleep consistently. Cut the caffeine out. At a minimum cut out caffeine at say 4pm or so. Even if you don't feel wired it might be what is keeping you up at night.

I get up at 0400 every morning, start work at 0530 off around 1700 and in bed around midnight. Been doing that for nine years now and still going strong. Sleep is over rated!

don't use medication.. Tried Ambien once, 10mg didn't work, was supposed to put me out within 30-45 minutes, 6 hours later I was still going strong..

20mg, nope
30mg, nope

Dr. stopped me @ 50mg because she said I was at a dangerous level @ 30mg and 50mg could kill me.. but it still never worked.

I've found that a bottle of wine with dinner does a nice job of lowering my blood pressure, which in turn make me fall asleep. But then again, I drank a bottle of wine myself on New Years Eve, plus had several beers between 9pm and midnight and was still going strong @ 3am.

So I guess it really depends on if I want to sleep or not.

Never had a problem sleeping but always like to stay up late. I've always been a nigh owl. When I used to work 3rd shift I would start at 9:30 pm and some times wouldn't leave till 7pm the next day. lol

Of course once I sat in my car to go home all my energy was gone. Made for some exciting drives home!

Then once I got home I was always wide awake. Till I laid down. Then I was out cold.
