I tell them the most important thing for them to understand is they aren't there to impress anyone, and to check their ego at the door. The size, strength, and intensity will come, but not quickly. Good form will always get them there the fastest. Amount of weight lifted is only relative. And finally, you can't out-train a lousy diet.
