We do too! 2SS/RS and Prius C in our garage. Jekyll and Hyde we are. 21k indeed, can't beat it for MPG. Zippy little thing for a battery operated car. But 0 to 60 times go to the Camaro.

hmm $45K for a Volt or $21K for a Prius..

since the guy stated he owned it specifically to save money as his job requires a lot of driving I can completely understand his desire to not spend twice as much on a vehicle.

just sayin'

I visited a buddy in California last year and his wife has one, they got some really great refund or something for getting it a few years ago.

I honestly was really impressed with it. I'm 6'3" and had plenty of room even though it looks tiny. Had good space in the back and in the back hatch. He drove us like 200 miles all over NorCal and I was preparing at the end to offer to fill his tank but when I looked at his gauge it literally HADN'T MOVED haha.

He had a huge guzzling truck in college, drives a Jeep now I think. He loves a big ol' engine but recognizes the pros of it as well. Not my style really, but I wouldn't hate it if I had one in the driveway.

I own a first gen 02 Honda Insight CVT and oddly enough it seems to get more looks than my camaro... I'm sure it's because it's uniquely ugly.

I drive it during the week to work because I have an 80 mile a day commute and it gets 50-65 MPG going 70 (Depends on if I'm drafting a semi). It saves me 80 bucks a week in gas. Also, I drive and park in a gravel parking lot so there's always a big coating of dirt on the car every day.

Oh and when I first got the Insight I had a V6 mustang rev up at me at a light and take off... Yea bud, I'll get right on that race with my 70 hp... I know quite a few people on the Insight Central forums and most of them are great people with some crazy knowledge on hybrid tech. Me... I'm sure I'd get fried if I tried messing with any of that crap... Which is great because my IMA Battery is starting to fail... Time to pull out the rubber gloves. No way I'm paying honday 3500 bucks for a refurished battery...

You'd be surprised what some of the other people on here may drive as daily drivers.

lol @ the mustang.

when we got the wifes Hybrid Camry had something similar happen, only thing is the Camry smoked his ass. 240 hp with 100% torque across the rpm band is a nice feature..
