Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before. Now that I'm hear, allow me to introduce myself as a Cameron hater, someone who thinks Flacco is totally overrated by some people in the media and accurately described by others aka mediocre, and someone who wants to see more Ray Rice.

Amazingly frustrating loss last week to the Steelers, and I'm kind of worried about RG3 and Morris, but not too concerned about the Skins defense.

Ehhh... not so sure about that. They aren't changing the offensive schemes, so really the only difference for the offense is the playcalling, which can only improve from what Cam was doing.

Flacco hated Cam, Rice hated Cam, the defense hated Cam. I don't think anyone is upset he is gone except Harbaugh who obviously was going to keep him around until the apocalypse unless someone forced his hand.

Hopefully, this will help ignite a team that has looked flat and lifeless the past two weeks save for yesterdays first half.

A coach that is brand new to calling plays will do a better job than Cameron who had such a big ego about his play calling and gameplans that he refused to adjust.

Also, Caldwell played a big role in the gameplan against the Bengals in Week 1 when our offense was on point. Local insiders say that after that game, Cam shut Caldwell out of the game planning process partially due to his success in game planning. Not quite the same as play calling, but definitely intertwined.

I think to truly understand, you have to be a Ravens fan and live down here in the thick of it.

If you're from New England, a somewhat similar situation was with Nomar like 8 years ago. The relationship between city and sports figure was so strained and fractured, that even if someone positive was happening, no one would admit it.

The worst part about this for us, though, was that it wasn't just the fans, but also the players who wanted Cam gone. For that reason, I can only view it as a positive.
