Exactly! Some kind of mixed bag of mammals and reptiles. If you're gonna go with an animal name or theme, stick with it! Imagine saying, 'Hey check out the new Chevy Wolverine, Komoto Dragon'

I think you'll find that the inspiration for the name was initially an airplane, but sticking a P-51 on the front of the car looked kinda silly, plus Mustangs are wild, free, and independent, which fit the mold of what FoMoCo was trying to sell to the youth market

I think you'll find that the inspiration for the name was initially an airplane, but sticking a P-51 on the front of the car looked kinda silly, plus Mustangs are wild, free, and independent, which fit the mold of what FoMoCo was trying to sell to the youth market

True, but chevy tried to come up with different names. Shelby already has the Super Snake. so any snake name would look like they copied.

I get the origin of the name Mustang, and I understand calling a car a Cobra, but how do you put them together on the same car and have it make sense? Not very logical. Both are cool names, but... Hey check out my Cobra Mustang... How about, check out my new Gator Hawk!

Pick an animal and stick with it, lol!

If you have a stupid last name, don't name your car after it. I can't stand the Hennesey and Callaway name on their customs. Won't ever get one because of it. And Lingenfelter, don't even get me started.

HAHAHA yeah thats a good one! And yes, i am only 18. Ill gladly ride in a ford. But wont ever buy one. Ive BROKEN Fords. And dodge. Chevy's, i cant seem to break. I pushed my friends dodge durango a bit, and she wanted to throw a rod. Had to get a new engine. I destroyed my brothers mustang too. drifting it around a corner, the passengers side rear tire literally rolled off, and then the engine siezed. apparently i lost all my oil driving around town.
