I used to shoot birds that landed in my parents back yard with my first BB/Pellet rifle
Never did actually down one, they always flew off, but I could tell I landed my shot when feathers burst out
Now I don't even have to do anything, my cats normally just bring them in anyway

i told before i once chopped off three turkey heads at thanksgiving. my friend raised them. then we boiled and plucked them. Yuck. Turkeys aren't cuddly though. my parents use to have cattle and they'd have one slaughtered once a year for beef.

Trust me, they have had their fair share of the benefit of the doubt and me yelling that them. There is no excuse for how often they mess up my prescriptions when my file and the doctors prescription says no substitution, will cause health problems. But they never listen or take the blame. Always an excuse.

were you using a dull blade or something?
I'd think if you just tied the head down and pull on the body it'll come off in one chop
Or you can do what some do with chickens, just grab by the head and spin the body around (actually saw that in a film shown in class)
