Funny story - We took both to an indoor range one day. There were some pretty big dividing walls between lanes so you can shoot and nobody sees what you are shooting.

There were guys everywhere with their .45 and .40's making noise and beating their chests. Well our son, 15 at the time, steps up to the firing line, loads a .460 round in the S&W and fires it off. The sound was absolutely incredible. EVERY other shooter stops firing and backs out of their lane to see what cannon was just fired. My son sets the S&W down, picks up the NAA .22 and steps back showing it to everyone. It was priceless seeing all those guys faces.

That is really funny and a video would have been the icing on the cake. Our indoor range will not allow me to shoot a .460 Magnum or the .454 rounds but man I sure wish they would since it's only 15 min from my house.

Thanks for a great story!

That is an awesome birthday present, I'm thinking of getting a .50 Desert Eagle, not a big fan of revolvers for myself.

Wow, that is the epitome of a hand cannon... Very nice, and glad to see you still around...

Are you still working with the performance calculator

I origianally wanted the Desert Eagle but decided against it and went for the .460 Magnum Revolver due to "Bang for the Buck". The .460 just offers a great deal more versatility (.45LC/.454/.460), various configurations of the gun, ammo is cheaper, more muzzle velocity and power etc. Oh, and it can really reach out at touch something at quite a distance.

Glad to hear from you SSE and thanks for the comments.

I am still working with the Performance Calculator... let me know if you need something calculated for your car's performance, i'd be glad to run the numbers for you.

Nice piece!! I'm eyeing a Taurus 1911, .45ACP myself. Haven't bought it yet, but got a line on a brand new one, in-box with 2 clips and leather concealed holster for less than $500. Probably pick it up this weekend.
