Yeah I'm struggling to see what the real difference is between the coming ATSV and a GN/GNX. Either would be sweet (a GNX would be the only thing that might sway me from an SS) but I don't see space for both. I'd wager this doesn't happen but not without a lot of agonizing at GM.

Its impossible to say, since we know nothing about the ATS-V and even less about a GNX but I would expect the ATS-V to be possibly smaller, possibly more powerful, definitely better handling, more luxurious, and more expensive. Stylistically, I would expect the Buick to have a more organic/flowing look compared to the more sharply defined lines of the Cadillac.

Afterall, just because 2 vehicles share a platform doesn't mean that they have to share 99% of their parts. You can have different body work, different wheel base, different track widths, different body style, different interiors, and different power trains. Keep in mind that this:

shares its platform with this:

Depends on the platform, it would probably be a completely different platform than the Impala.. Impala is more of a family/luxury sedan, not something meant to be fast lol

Not even close. A FWD family sedan isn't going to be cross-shopped with a RWD performance sedan, especially when priced respectively. Camaro might lose sales to people looking for something with four doors but you could say the same about the SS sedan as well.

Plus, GM won't shed too many tears over a few people paying a few grand more for a Grand National instead of a Camaro

And again, this is all purely speculation at this point. I have no idea where this popped out of, for all we know, it's a slow news day at Edmunds.

My 72 Buick skylark custom sits next to my 2010 camaro 2 SS/RS lol

OK first off I dont trust Autoweek or Edmunds InsideLine as for as I can throw them, unless GM releases something, then I will beleive it.

How many times have they put out crap & it hasent been true.
