I Dream of Jeannie brought him first to our TV's in 1965 and Dallas made him famous in late 70's early 80's. The wife and I started watching the new Dallas on TNT and JR was mean as ever.

He was of the nicest guys I have ever known.
A true TV icon with a wonderful wife who unfortunately has Alzheimers now. I built one their homes on Sulfur mountain near Ojai California back in the early 90's.I spent 90% of my time conferring with his wife during the construction process. It was a great experience. And my crew loved it when he would come to the site to check it out ![]() We will all miss him.

Never watched an episode of the old Dallas, but we started watching the new and now am hooked. Great actor.
He was also in The Eagle Has Landed in a supporting role, but played it excellent. RIP. |

My wife just reminded me that we still have a 6 pack or "JR" beer in a box in the attic somewhere.
I wonder how good it is now that it has aged....
