RIP my sweet Mama - Page 3

I remember when we first met I had just lost my father and you had just lost your mother. It doesn't seem as if it's been a year now, just know that time heals all wounds. Remember the good times and laugh. I know that I think about my dad daily and the memories bring a smile to my face. I miss him, but I know that he is in a better place and so is your mom. I pray for peace in your life.

My condolences Ruby.

My dad passed on 11/11/05, eight days before my youngest son was born. My mom passed on 10/08/06, her funeral was on the 11 month anniversary of my dad passing. I told my wife it felt like someone was playing a cruel joke taking both of them so quickly.

Time does heal wounds, but I miss them so much and wish they could have seen my sons grow up. I always remind my oldest son (he'll be 10 on 11/24) of my mom and dad, I don't want him to forget them or how much they loved him.

That is very sad. I would like to think that they are still looking down on us & seeing the things we would have liked to share with them. I'm glad my kids both got to know their grandparents and that I had her as long as I did. The sad reality of life is that the only way to avoid dealing with grief is to never have any close relationships with anyone and that would be the greatest tragedy of all. My mother was truly a saint so I know she is in a better place, but I still miss her.
