It definitely relaxes the carry law concerns... in a car... at home... but especially in public, where you don't have to be so self aware about printing, or accidental show.
In Louisiana we have Concealed Handgun Permits (which I have one) and Open Carry is also legal. If one were carrying and it happened to print excessively or your shirt got caught up and revealed your firearm you would have simply transitioned from concealed to open carry. No legal trouble, unlike some other states. If I recall there is nothing about brandishing here, either.

Oh, and I picked up a Ruger TakeDown 10/22 on Friday. It's great.

This looks like the basic run of the mill collapsible stock and standard trigger.

Any plans on upgrading the stock and trigger?

Just ordered The magpull kit today actually.

Probably wont be here for at least two weeks knowing how backed up these guys are.

As for the trigger I am just going to polish and see how it shoots at first.

Here's the stock and trigger I'm using on my custom build.

CAA Sniper stock http://www.midwayusa.com/product/825353?cm_vc=S014

Geissle SSA two stage trigger http://www.midwayusa.com/product/247...wo-stage-matte

I love ARs but customizing can get expansive quick. I've got about $2,500 into one of mine and about $1,800 of that is upgrades and accessories lol.

Geisselle triggers are the best. I have had an ssa and an sd-3g. Currently running an sd-c in my duty rifle.

OK , I am looking to purchase an AR15 . I have done a little research not much . I have looked at a few , Bushmaster , DPMS and Colt . I really like the Colt LE6920 . I am sure there are a lot of opinions on this . Looking for something basic that I can add some furniture too ( learned "furniture" the other day ) . Price point between 1k and 1500

If I had that kind of money to drop at one time I would just buy a complete upper and complete lower. Daniel defense, noveske, dpms, stag are great companies to go with. Www.brownells.com has some great deals.

Also have learned it depends on what you want to use it for

Mine "on duty"
I changed the light out to something much much brighter (750 lumens) and moved the foregrip back closer.

If you want a cool toy, make a SBR.. (short barrelled Rifle)

But seriously, yeah, it depends on what you need/want.
