Hey gang on a really serious note and yeah going to be a downer here but it just needs to get out. This month is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Four Years Ago on this day my wife lost her Baby Sister at the age of 39 at the hands of her Ex. He was stalking her. He didn't want anyone else having her and walked into the Salon she owned while she was cutting a client's hair and took her life. It changed many lives that day.:(
My wife is at work today until 3. Told her to take the day off but she said it can help take her mind off things Certainly hope she doesn't run into any rude guests You still have to keep a smile and the show must go on. Thanks for listening.

Mike, Thanks for raising awareness on a very serious topic; sorry that it is so close to "home." I recall hearing your sister-in-law's story in the news.

Blessings to you and your family.

This is one topic that just really makes me crazy angry. I just can't wrap my head around why it is or how it is some people can be so cruel to others. Once a guy (or gal) is caught abusing someone, a spouse, a child, an old person....... they ought to just drop them in a deep, deep hole and close the lid. Whew. OKay. Rant over. I feel a little better. Like Linda said Skyman, blessings to you and your family. Especially to your wife for the loss of her precious sister.

I agree. Guess I'll never understand what drives people to do this.

OK you don't have to get so touchy about it. Hands are off.
Love the pic Jay.
Daughter just came in "Dad guess what Max took this time?" One of the kids ah cats likes to run off with things and builds a nest under our bed. We have found washclothes, sponges, bags of cat treats, makeup, pictures, pens, duct tape you name it. She comes in holding a bag of Hungry Man Halloween Pancake Mix that my wife left out.

I too remember this story. Horribly tragic & sad. But for grace, this could have been me. My first husband was abusive & pretty scarry. I am glad I was able to escape with my & my daughter's lives & the rest of my family's lives for that matter. He managed only to send me to the hospital once & my dad once physically, but the psychological damage he inflicted was much longer lasting & the many times it could have gone worse...........are difficult to even think about. I am so sorry your dear sister-in-law was not able to escape. This is another area in which our legal system just simply SUCKS! Sorry but there is no other term that fits. Power and control males and physically/sexually abusive persons do not change and the rest of us need to be protected from them by THEM never seeing the light of day again. Again..............I'd better stop there before I start to rant endlessly. Tell your wife that she & all the loved ones of her sister are in our thoughts & prayers.

A sincere thanks all. My wife just came in the door a bit ago and had a good day at work thankfully.
Jan very sorry this hits close to home for you as well but so very glad you are here to talk about it.
Yeah the legal system can suck. He plead guilty to first degree murder but with Mercy WT...? It was premeditated and planned on what would have been their anniversary. The family accepted the Plea to avoid more pain. However it means he got life but can be eligible for parole in now 12 yrs. Family lawyer says parole "never" happens but it still sticks in the back of your mind.

Now to completely change the subject. Welcome f5journal, IkoIko and sure forgetting someone else.Help. Memory
only goes back a few posts. Thought had enough caffeine to get out the cobwebs lol.
