It's taking an existing FACTORY platform, and maxing it out. However, this GT500 in STOCK/FACTORY form is FAR from being maxed out. Gearing makes a world of difference. I would know since I have had F/I cars with 3.31's, 3.55's, 4.10's, etc.

Gotcha.
Gears make a world of difference at a track. I think I may be getting rid of my 4.10's since it is primarily a street driven car. The gear is too much for the Blower combo, and the pulling ends too soon, haha. I think 3.73 gears would be perfect for everyday use and the track.

What I should have said is at the drag strip, this power/torque is very nice. I have trouble understanding how this translates into anything noteworthy. I don't live at a drag strip, I guess that's the problem.
