Austin, you say you work out 1.5 hrs per day, 7 days a week. That's great that you have time for that. I also respect that you care enough about yourself to spend that much time...
I don't know this anchorwoman, but I imagine her day doesn't have that much time in it. Id venture to guess her day goes something like this... get up and ready for work. Get the 3 kids up and ready for school/daycare. Go to work for 8 to 10 hours. Pick the kids up, cart them to soccer/ballet/piano. Come home, fix dinner, help with homework. Do dishes/laundry/housecleaning. Bathtime, storytime, bedtime. Maybe if she's lucky, a little alone time with hubby. Pray for a night with sleep not interrupted by sick kid or nightmares. Get up and do it all again... gotta give a little respect to the working "supermom".
She should have married a more helpful spouse or kick his ass until he is if that is the case. Either way, I still agree most people can't spend all that time in the gym but it only three days a week, one hour a day and eating decent to stay decently fit and likely above average now a days.

Can I just say here that you don't need a damn gym to be fit?

My boyfriend is extremely physically fit, and he doesn't go to the gym. I had a gym membership for a while. I lost more weight after I got rid of it.

Run around the block. Do jumping jacks. Crossfit. P90x. Insanity. WiiFit. Whatever. It's easy to stay active and not pay for a stupid gym membership to watch people go fawn over themselves in the mirror as they lift weights, and fight over who can park closest.

I also agree...You don't need to "go" anywhere to stay fit.

The weight thing is just someone's personal issue.

I applaud this woman for her ability to speak up for herself and for being "bully proof"...because I know how she feels. And I couldn't care less what individual lifestyle choices people make...no matter what they are. But I do take issue with her implied statement that being "way too fat" is far better than being"way too skinny" because they are both poor lifestyle choices and neither should be encouraged.

With that being said...I do have a problem with Americas obesity epidemic because now the choices of others are starting to affect how I live and that BS pisses me off. When the U.S. government starts talking about adding a .01 per ounce tax on canned/bottled soda purchases and the state of New York just outlawed the sale of "Supersize" sodas (unless they're diet sodas...of course) then THAT"S TOO MUCH FOLKS! WHY THE F%&K should my beverages cost more because some people are fat? And why should the size of the portion I can buy be controlled by the government because some people make poor choices?

So I don't like the fact that America's obesity problem is facilitating that slippery slope to a total nanny state where the control of our lives will be achieved monetarily and all our choices are being monitored and controlled by BIG BROTHER.

People just need to worry about themselves and not keep telling everyone else how to live. In other words mind your own business
no ones business but her own! As I read she did not out his name or email address, it was Soledad O'Brien who gave out his actual name on air.

Oooooh, he's a lawyer? Haha, he probably hates himself so much that he needs to take it out on her. That changes everything.

Sorry, but there is a lot more beauty and attractiveness to an overweight anchorwoman who isn't afraid to stand up to ridicule than a demoralized, bloodsucking, sniveling lawyer with some lame tattoos. 10 bucks says he owns a BMW and drives like a monkey hocked up on a sympathomimetic narcotic.

I don't really care if she's fat, which she is. She has a right to eat whatever she wants, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. The letter was eloquently put and I don't consider it bullying either. He stated a mere fact, just because the fact offends her, does not make it bullying. She's at risk for coronary artery diesease, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, among other things, but if she wants to eat herself to death, it's cool by me.
I think it might be a bit of a reach to say that she is a role model to children. I don't think they glue themselves to news broadcasts and look to a news anchor for guidance.

While in general I agree with your statement for most people, and not to disagree or agree in this case, but people who choose to put themselves in the public eye, sports player, news anchor, polotics, etc, gives up that right to thier own business. Weather they like it or not, they become role models, people look up to them. They watch and exclaim. Right or wrong people will copy or follow the beliefs of celebrities simply because they are celebrities.

Thats just the way it is and has always been, still knowing that, they choose the career they did for whatever reason. If you choose to become a public figure, you accept and assume the responsibility to be better and more correct than the average Joe. You accept the fact that you are being watched and what you do or dont do effects many more people than yourself. If you dont accept that responsibility, that reality, then you need to step down and blend into the masses.

So no, it is not her business only.

Touché, kind sir, touché.

God, it's so easy to judge behind a computer screen, even I'm no innocent lmao

I'm just finding all these accusations that she stuffs her face kind of misguided, you know, just in case she really doesn't and that there are other reasons she is fat. You know, reasons of the more 'tough-to-fix' persuasion?

We'd all love to have a more helpful spouse... My hubby thinks he's helping, says things like "I did a load of laundry" then when I go to get it out of the dryer, turns out he picked through the hamper and did a load of HIS laundry.
