SUPPOSEDLY, my credentials are on the way. Seems like a real big deal to correct the spelling of the company I work for when THEY made the mistake.

However, I haven't made any accomodations to stay anywhere because no one from here can go with me. :( And I took vacation the wrong week.

I run into conflicts going to Las Vegas every once in while. Looks like 2012 might be that way too.

Nice pics everybody! Cute pup Jeanette. That lake looks crowded, although I once heard (on Paul Harvey, I think.) that Arizona has more boats per capita than any other state. I hate you Florida guys...because I'm not your neighbor!

I couldn't find the picture I thought I had taken in Long Beach a couple weekends ago. Too bad, it had a cool story to go with it. Oh well, it's Fall. The sun is shining and the apple trees are blooming....wait...yes my apple tree is blooming. This picture was taken this week. It's just a couple of branches, but it's happened before. Anybody got any explanations?

You'll notice that the apples on the other branch aren't even ripe yet.

Sorry I forgot to congratulate you on your trip Jeanette. That's pretty cool. Wish my company would send me someplace where I didn't have stand around at a trade show.

Lots of great pics guys & gals. Weird about the apple tree blooming. I bet that pup is a handful but fun to watch. It is a very nice morning here. Nice & quiet right now as Mike is still sleeping. I like my morning quiet time with my coffee. We have lots of work to get done today inside & outside the house. We have to get everything done so I have the next 2 weekends to be sure I get all my mods done before our fall drag race event. My daughter is comming home (lives in Florida now) next week & I am taking a day off to spend with her. Now I have to spend some of that morning getting my broken tooth fixed though. Anyway, it will be nice to have one of my kids in the house again for a while. Have a great weekend everyone.

I did a quick Google search on twice blooming apple trees. There's some stuff about crabapples - is that what your apple tree is?? What I could find out is that the second blooms end up wasted - they won't produce fruit now, and won't bloom next spring to produce it then, either. Which is probably OK in your case - seeing apples on the ground, looks like you've got more than you need anyway!

I finally caught up on sleep. Coco needed out at 5am, so I took her out, then put her in her pen in the garage with her breakfast and went back to sleep - I just got up at 10am!!! Now, just waiting for the rain to stop so Ladybug can have a bath so she'll look pretty to go to the PNWCC meeting. See you there, Gary??

Absolutely. I have an expensive chair to return to a member. (Long story, or maybe a Long Beach story.) As far as I know Shawn is going too. I sent PMs to Scotty and Ken Nylin, inviting them to come, but I haven't heard back from either of them yet.

And it's not a Crab Apple, but I would think that the things that happen to Crab Apples could apply to cultured varieties too. It's weird, but I'm guessing it will happen again next year if I don't lop off that branch. (Or we get another damn ice storm!)
