Damn, I heard it was going to be light but I didn't think 3300lb range. Take out some bells and whistles dump in a gen V small block and I think we might have one killer Camaro! Makes me wonder what's truly in store for the C7 Vette.

I am hoping they give 450-500 hp in the vette, then Z06 should get around 600 and the ZR1 should get more around 730. High numbers, but if the new tech is as good as It sounds, I don't think we would complain.

From what I can see from the weight comparisons for the Current Mustang and Camaro as well as the ATS. I believe that, unless Chevy does use some drastic weight saving materials, the 6th Gen Camaro's will likely weigh in at a little bit less/more than the current Mustangs so maybe a 3,550 LB SS and a roughly 3,750 LB ZL1. Those numbers are give and take and just a guess on my part. I seriously doubt we will see a 3,400 SS anytime soon regardless of what GM tries to do.

At this point I'm only speculating…

The Base Vette should get 450 Horsepower, the Z06 should get 550, and the ZR1 should get 680. The Vette doesn't need a drastic horsepower gain, especially since it will very likely be much lighter than the current model, perhaps a 100lbs difference in each model. More horsepower in a lighter car will only cause traction issues (though the wide ass tires will make up for that) and deaths of the many idiots that will buy the car thinking they can control the power.

Despite what many people seem to think, horsepower isn't always the answer, a lighter vehicle is more significant.

*just as a side note that last sentence wasn't a lecture, it was just a general statement towards many an idiot*
