Silva vs Jones would be a GREAT fight. Jones is one of the top 10 fighters of all time, and he's just getting started...

Never gonna happen. Silva is getting to the end of his career and is very choose-y about who he wants to fight, and Jones ain't on that list.

I'd rather see JDS vs Jones personally.

Hard to say if anyone at LHW could beat him. Vitor had a great gameplan, but he wasn't physically ready for this fight.

My last hope is Gustafson. He has the physical tools, but I don't think he quite has the skillset yet to do it.

But it would be nice for someone to beat him, cuz I just can't stand Jones anymore.

I hear you about his likeability...But isn't silva going up in weight? There has got to be a reason. And yes he is getting close to the end here but it would be a financial windfall for both if this happenned say next year. The sport has grown leaps and bounds but I think it needs this fight. Still I don't see anyone beating jones. He is just a barbarian when he gets on top of you in full and half guard. I weigh 205 and he looks so much bigger than me.

True, Silva is going up to LHW to fight Stephan Bonnar. It was more of a move to save the PPV since Aldo and Rampage got injured as oppossed to a legitimate run at the title at 205. He is going to make a big payday, and Bonnar is willing to make it an exciting stand-up brawl for the fans. This is going to be more of a "Silva skillset showcase" fight than a competitive battle for title contention.

I agree, Silva is competitive at 205 and the sport could use some big superfights. I was really dissappointed when Aldo got hurt, cuz in reality, him vs Edgar is a superfight. Both are legitimate top 5 in the pound-for-pound rankings.

Yea, that would be a good fight. But Bendo is a big lightweight and that means Aldo would have to move up to fight him (which is a possibility, cuz Aldo has struggled to make weight on occassion). Edgar was a small lightweight, so the move to featherweight is more natural.

GSP is fighting Condit to unify the title in November. Should be a good fight.
