Spike, of course that would be when the new cam actually allows the valves to close all the way. Cuz you know as mechanical things wear out, they actually get bigger. So the valves were probably held open causing a lower compression ratio. So the new cam now allows the valves to close completely.

Plus a new cam makes the valves happy, which makes them seat better. LOL

but the cr isnt based off of how much air/fuel ends up in the cyl. the compression itself might change a little, but the ratio isnt going change enough from the valves moving that slight amount to be noticable. not to mention, over time carbon buildup could keep the valves slightly open as well.

of course this is just mindless banter over a specific motor that wont lead anywhere, but it keeps things interesting.

I'm not sure I would have graduated from college if we had Xbox or PS3. But I am sure that you will find that Xbox and beer are an evil mixture. When I started college we did computer programing on punch cards to make a dot matrix picture of Snoopy.

I remember in my Senior year of high school, you used a teletype machine and could actually play a Star Trek game.

For your next move select the following:
