I'm sure they will. We really have some of the best museums in the world out here. CA academy of science in golden gate park is absolutely amazing. Same with Monterey Bay Aquarium.... World class (membership for the family, we go all the time)

And there are dozens more. I agree that that is was an odd choice, but I think she'll be happy there.

Actually Los Angeles fully deserves a Space Shuttle. Afterall, all 6 Space Shuttles were built a couple miles away from the California Science Center.

it's flying over the Jet Propulsion Lab, which was less than 10 miles from where i lived in L.A.

Yeah, but the average person doesn't think "California" when they think NASA or the shuttle program. It's Florida, Texas, then ehhh maybe California. It lands out there, right?! (sarcasm)

I will pay a visit to the museum someday, for sure.

Just seeing the one at space camp blew my mind, and it wasn't "real" per sei.

In my opinion, the shuttle retirement locations should've depended more on how much that location contributed to the program, rather than politics.
