Who's going to get the iPhone 5?

Got my pre-order in. Hope ya'll did it early, they're already backed up to 2 weeks post launch date on Apple's website!

It actually worked out really well for me. When attempting to upgrade through their website, it couldn't connect to AT&T to check my upgrade eligibility but it still reserved a phone for me and said it would send me an email when they could get through to AT&T. Well, my bank hadn't direct deposited my paycheck yet anyway. So I wouldn't have been able to pay for it otherwise. Got the email this morning to finish my order, still 9/21 delivery date!

I have had my Iphone 3G for almost 3 years now, and I have pre-ordered this new Iphone 5, as well as an Otterbox defender case.

I don't jump every time a new edition smart phone comes out. The 3GS was just released or about to be when I got the 3G...I think....and the phone I had before was a Motorola Razr....had it for about 3 years as well, so I figure I am due for something new and I am familiar with the Iphone and how it works for the most part. So far compared to my old 3G, I like what I see with the 5. I can always play with my husband's galaxyIII and vice versa...

Ordered x2. And after all the problems my son had with his droid phones he finally went iPhone, he got the iPhone4. He never would because he couldnt have the same phone as his parents. HaHa. He was replacing phones at least every six months due to some software bug or malfunction. Me and my wife have have had some version of the iPhone since they came out and never had a problem other than my wife dropped hers and broke the front glass.

I have and use many technologies, without blindly following a single manufacturer. But I have recently decided to stop supporting Apple because of their ethical issues. Their lawsuit was rather unjust, and their manufacturing policies are despicable. You can say it's about the bottom line, but I will no longer help to pad that bottom line.

I'm not a slave to the latest techno toys. I save a TON of money that way because by the time I get around to analyzing what works for me and getting it, the thing has been test driven for a while and I usually end up with a free phone when everyone else was paying 100-200 bucks + activation fees just for the privilege of being first. Same kind of folks that pay ADM on their Camaros....

I have a Samsung Charge and that phone is PLENTY enough for me. I'm betting I can make a phone call just as well as an iphone.

the 4S has connectivity problems with Camaro and there is no current upgrade listed as of yet for iphone 5 on GM update site .....it might work just fine or it might be an issue..i just know the 4s was a pain for some to sink with Camaro...

Display is 306ppi vs iphone 326ppi = win for iphone But doesn't really matter unless you are watching movies on the phone, and most people don't, they connect to a big screen so it becomes moot.

S3 has Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 vs. Iphone Quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 = both are Samsung Architecture, but the Cortex-A15 is likely to be a hair faster, though most people won't be able to tell the difference without some type of benchmark to compare, seeing as the A5x is a down clocked Cortex-A9 (only 1.0GHz in the ipad vs, the 1.4GHz in the S3) I suspect the Cortex-A15 will also be downclocked so in reality it will probably benchmark close to the S3 in most catagories.

for all intent and purpose the S3 and the Iphone 5 are about equal, however the S3 has Flash and bigger screen going for it, and the iphone has universal connectivity going for it.

Android phones are a PITA to connect to car stereos or most boom boxes or tv's or whatever without a host of special adaptors which are all different for every phone/phone manufacturer.

I own and S3, had it since pre-release in late June, one of the best phones I have owned, but a little disappointed that I cannot display song data on my HUD or Radio screen in the Camaro via bluetooth, but my 4 year old ipod touch 2nd gen can..

Will I be getting the Iphone 5.. probably not.. I liek my S3, but for all those iphone fanboys that want to put the S3 down..

the internals of the iphone are made by Samsung, so crapping on the S3 is crapping on the iphone.. just sayin..

oh and for the comment about the iphone being thinner.. it's .5mm thinner, who the hell can tell the difference in a 1/2 mm? seriously does that even matter?

apple is like Chevrolet to me .. i will always have one ... its what i like....it doesnt matter if the other guy is better or more liked....i like apple iPhone i like Chevrolet Camaro....if you dont like it buy a ford or get an android.. just my 2 cents.............
