Barricade was a SALEEN not a 500KR as well as the orginal BUMBLEE wasn't even a Camaro. It was a GTO frame with a Camaro body prepped by SALEEN because GM could not have a car ready for filming

Unfortunatly, car companies can't dictate what owners do with their cars after they buy them.

Here's an attempt at an answer:

1. Guy has a Mustang
2. Guy likes Transformers
3. Guy like Bumblebee
4. Guy still likes his Mustang and can't afford a new car
5. Guy figures - why not, it's his car (same logic that fakers use to upbadge their car).

I think that some people have friends that don't care about authenticity in their lives and therefore they do this because they would never be judged by whomever they hang out with.

LOL, that is so true! I think it's a little juvenile to argue about what's a "real bumblebee". For f sake - you're all supposedly grown men and you're going on about a cartoon/kids movie!!

Then there are those who get all excited when they see kids confusing their Camaros with Bumblebee. Kids get excited over the dumbest things guys!!
