Few good mustang forums out there. There is a lot of tech data on places like Wide Open Throttle Mustangs and S197forum but most of those forums are also filled with douchebags that criticize your every move. If you have extremely thick skin, then check those two out.

If anyone is still interested, you can go to www.allfordmustangs.com
Like others have said, its not GEN specific like C5 is, but it's pretty decent. For example: 2011+ Talk 2011 GT Tech 2011 V6 Tech 2005 - 2009 Talk 2005 - 2009 GT Tech 2005 - 2009 V6 Tech Ect... Shelby's have their own section, fox bodies, and so on 2010 Guys have to get in where they fit in.

I've noticed that the sections that I concentrate on over on the Mustang forums have been less busy than they used to be. Even MustangForums at about 160,000 members and where I'm closing in on 6000 mostly technical posts has been pretty quiet lately (there really are a few sections over there worth looking at, even though members of other Mustang fora tend to look down on that site generally). I've been a member of both Mustang and Camaro forums for as long as I've been on the internet, meaning about a dozen years where Corral.net, CamaroZ28.com and thirdgen.org are concerned. IOW, longer than I could see my way clear to actually owning either car. CamaroZ28 used to be a whole lot more active than it is now, which is part of why I ended up joining here. Sometimes, it's good just to see things from a different perspective and try to understand how things are handled differently at different companies. You never can tell where you'll find a scrap of information that you can use on the car that you do own or that helps you understand what you're trying to do with it. The guys on SVTperformance are brutal! lol. They have a street kill thread which is interesting (kinda wish we had one) and a gloves off thread. Lots of name calling and s**t talking. It's fun to read but you defenitly need some thick skin.

Back when I had my fox bodies, I used to be fairly active on Corral.net & really liked that site.

I spend time on mustangforums.com. I only spend time in the Classic Mustang section though, cause I have '67 and '68 mustangs. The rest of the forum seems iffy. So I keep to the classic section only.

The Mustang Collective (www.mustangcollective.com) is a small forum, but a wealth of all kinds of great information...
First and foremost... No bashing! Ask a question you get intelligent answers... Also, someone mentioned ads... there are NO ADS! I haven't owned a Mustang in 5 years but I still am an active member there...

I have been frequenting forums for a dozen years. Moderate, Admin, and even own a forum of my own.
My Top 3: Corral.net is a great site. I mod on this one. But, its not as good as it used to be. It sold to Auto Forums (rumored for 6-figures). and traffic has dropped dramatically (at least in the Lounge section). SVTP is where I hang my hat a lot. Good tech stuff there. They can be ruthless at times but very knowledgeable. Both Corral and SVTP have 150K+ members and I believe are 2 of the largest mustang sites on the web (stangnet/yellowbullet/mustangforums might be up there too). UnitedStangs.com I actually own this site, although, like a lot of other sites, has drastically slowed down. Being the owner of 4 forums (down to two now), I can tell you that FaceBook is really killing the forum world. Members and Advertisers now go to FaceBook to do their posting/advertising. I am literally a member of over 100+ forums, but only visit a handful of them every day. I joined here because I wanted to learn about the ZL1. A buddy of mine has one. Plus, in the past, I have owned camaros, firebirds, TAs, and vettes. Just so happen, the past 10+ years, my flavor of the month has been mustangs. |

But our activity compared to our market (5th gen Camaro) makes us attractive. I can only guess as to why we are as attractive as we are. your guess is as good as mine.Quote:
We do overmoderate the site but it seems to be working. Quote:

It will be interesting to see what happens as future camaro generations come along.
