My name is Eric Franks and I will be graduating in December with my bachelor's in MIS. I cannot wait for December to get here. This class will hopefully give me some more insight into PM as my company has a huge PM training course all employees eventually have to take. A few of my hobbies include cooking, racing Camaro's at Memphis International Raceway, and playing video games.
A little about my work experinece:
I have worked in the restaurant and food service industry for 7+ years from busboy to kitchen manager. I have worked as a trainer in retail industry as well as the restaurant and food service industry. I have done a lot of free lance/contract IT and tech support work. I currently have been employed for 1.5 years as an IT Analyst at A2H, Inc. I am part of a lot of things with the company and help make a lot of decisions in the company. I can manage a team as well as be a part of one. We use MBTI at A2H and it has helped a lot.


Eric, your background and experience should come in quite helpful on the project in this class. I your team does well and you have a great last semester at UM. As for racing, come join us in Homecoming and you can ride with us in my '67 Firebird convertible. If you promise to go slow we might even be able to get you to drive it for us. Have a great weekend and I hope you learn a lot in this class to help you with your PM activities at your company.

Dr. Poston, Thanks! I hope to be able to contribute quite a bit to whichever group I am in with my knwoledge and skill set I have obtained over the years. I'm not much of a school spirit /homecoming fan, but getting drive a '67 Firebird convertible would be pretty sweet. I have a soft spot for American cars, especially GM cars. Hmm, I could promise to treat it with care, lol. I don't thrash around other people's cars unless they give me permission.
My company's PM activites are PMSJ level courses I believe. Is that something we will touch on in class? I haven't taken the extensive PM classes that my company gives yet.
