why is it that I only see RED x's on pictures hosted on Camaro5?

any thread I read that has a hotlinked picture from photobucket or imageshack or whatever is fine.

but if they are hosted on the Camaro5 gallery all I get is red x's..

only happens here, and not on any other forum..

and before anyone gives me all the techno babble they think might fix it, I'll simply say, I've been an IT guy most of my life, so I've probably "already tried that"

Firewall or ISP issue would be my guess. Maybe flush your DNS records and try again. It cleared up a similar issue with a different site for me.

yup, and the last two days seem to have been ok except in threads with a huge amount of pictures.

Which leads me to believe that the browsers are timing out waiting for all the pictures to load.

thank you..

here's the thing.. I am a CIO for a Stainless Steel Appliance Manufacture, as I stated in the first post, I did not make this thread until after I had tried all off this stuff.

multiple browsers and O/S's
multiple ISPs / connections
flushed DNS
flushed Cache
cleared browser histories
reset browsers to default settings.
switched various add-ons (java, flash, etc) on and off testing each one.

I think it comes down to a time out issue, small threads with staggered images seem ok, large threads with 10+ pictures per post and most of them get a big fat red X.

doesn't happen with hotlinked pictures from other sites, only pictures hosted on this site.

Sounds plausible.

I wish I could give you an answer, but it seems there's no one else with the problem. That by itself should show it's not a site problem, but something else.

I know you said you've tried different computers, but ... no one else is having the issue. Strange...

or no one else is saying anything about it..

not a lot of noobs here, most people have probably been thru the threads I am looking at and only head off to the last page, wherein I am new and combing the whole topic..
