Beach looks like a great time! I went to visit daddy today. My sister had bought him a guitar. He used to play. He said he could not remember much. I picked it up & played/sang him a couple of songs. I could not remember much either but hopefully it will help jog his memory a bit. I drove past his house/mini farm. It looks awful! The new people supposed to be keeping it up are not. He would just die if he saw it. Honestly, as much as I hate to see it go, I will be glad to see someone have it & get it all fixed up again. Good night all & thanks for the support.

Once again I am last & first on here. Sad huh? Time to wake up & start a new week. I ordered my next mods yesterday. Washer bottle relocation kit & scoop for my CAI inc intake, ported throtle body & Black IceOlator. I am hoping to have them installed before LSX Fest in Bowling Green, KY. Ruby should be a little faster down the drag strip then, but getting it done in time will be pushing it. After that, suspension mods will be next! Have a good week folks!

Happy Monday Morning All! One more day to go and on-call is over . This session's been brutal but it's 95% behind me and that's all that counts. YIPPEEEEEE

Welcome Pincoin! Always great to see new people in the OF thread!

Jeanette, looks like you guys had a great time at Camaros in the Sand. Was that in Washington or Oregon?

When you guys get a chance, come back over and check out the West Coast Ol' Farts Fest site at www.wcoff.com.

We've be doing a lot of work on it (actually, I'm pointing to a corner asking Vince to "move the sofa" and he's doing all the heavy lifting (Thanks Vince!!)) and it has more features an looks better every day!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day!

Daddy loved that truck sooooooooo much and the little mini farm was so much a part of all of our lives. We grew a huge garden every year with everything you can think of including popcorn, peanuts, Strawberries (which we also sold to Kroger grocery stores), watermellon, cantaloupe and all sorts of vegetables. We froze/canned vegetables for winter & made jellies, jams, tomato juice.........lots of things like that. We grew crops of corn, wheat, hay, soybeans & tobacco. We had chickens & pigs. On my grandad's farm we had cows. We had a smokehouse & made our own smoked sausage, country hams/sholders, bacon, etc. We hardly had to shop for groceries. Man, I miss all of that (except for working in the tobacco & strawberry crops - that part was no fun but it built character). So, it is very sad to see it all go, but...............it is time. Daddy is getting gradually worse. Last week he got so confused & belligerant, my sister had to have him sedated. We don't need to be spending his $ for paying taxes & upkeep on all this stuff. Here is a pic of Daddy with his pride & joy.

Sounds like several of us are in that "caretaker" role. It's tough to keep your head up sometimes, but I know what my mom did for me, so I just do the best I can with her. She deserves the best, so I really try. Hang in there.............

Went to Fort Lauderdale Florida over the weekend. Got to get the pictures loaded up, but we barely got out in time last night before a big surge. Had to ship one up to Orlando to get out, Air Tran cancelled flights for yesterday and today. Thinking about our friends in Alabama and Louisiana..........Florida has gotten lots of precip!

Good evening guys & dolls. I just finished my notes from work & I am tired! Guess I won't make it staying up too late tonight. Maybe tonight I won't be the last 'ol Fart on line. LOL HotRod glad your on-call is about over. I just hated doing on-call when i used to have to do it. Glad I don't have to any more. Dianeokie, glad you guys got out of there in time. Everyone in the path, stay safe. Sleep well everyone.
