The Trabant used to be the only car available to East Germans. Ten year waiting list for a car that was an absolute POS brand spanking new. Lawn mower engine smoked and gagged and produced between 18 and 26 hp, depending on the engine option. Two stroke, two cylinder. No oil injection, so add your own every time you fuel up.
Anyway, I found a wrecked one in a junkyard one time: Much of the frame was wood. Ain't Communism great? |
