Bye Bye Camaro

After 2 1/2 years with my beloved 2010 2ss/rs, she's going away.
I'm moving into full domesticated dad mode and trading her in for a new Porsche Cayenne S SUV.
I am still a big fan of Detroit iron, my wife drives a 2012 GMC Yukon XL!!!
I have loved every minute of my experience with the Camaro.
Tons of power.
Great styling. Turning heads everywhere I went!
Great GM quality.
I will miss being part of the Camaro family and will be jealous every time I see one on the road.
I hope I am making a good decision?!?!

If there was anyway at all possible I'd keep the Camaro... Going to a more a reasonable conservative vehicle does make sense, but when it happens it just causes pain and suffering!

I'm a year, maybe two from having kids. The wife has a 2011 Fiesta, which is our "family car". My Camaro will go no where.

Could you not keep the Camaro. And choose an family vehicle less expensive? Say get an Equinox? Maintenance will be much higher for the Porsche. And I am sure operating costs and insurance will be too..

Just bought my wife a Porsche Panamera for the "family" car...and we don't even have a family yet. LoL, keeping my Camaro even when we do!

I am a few years from having kids. I have my 2011 Tundra Double cab for transporting the kids. Her Camaro will go nowhere. In fact when I pay the truck off soon I am thinking about adding to the collection a 2013 1SS/RS Blue Camaro as my toy.

Yep, he does. He made sure to have at least one family car. It is the same in our family.

Yes. It was part of the discussion when I bought the Camaro last month, "it's not very practical", to which I answered "practical?" "It's absolutely not practical, and that's the point." We have the practical car (the Fiesta). And the fact is, she enjoys the Camaro almost as much as I do.

I was wondering the same thing. Unless you're on some super fertility drugs, and are expecting a John and Kate plus 8 type life, I don't get why you need a second family car.
