Well I thought I'd share a "cool story bro" story. .

So I have this annoying co worker.
Well here's a bit of the back story.

She buys a red LT camaro and man she's happy about it. So a month later I'm finally ready to buy and purchase a red SS camaro. Man did that take the wind out of her sails. So she checks out my car and says "oh look at that little stock v8"

In my head, I'm like really, just because yours has a CAI, common.

But polite me just nods.

She then tells me with her chip that she thinks she has since her car is 2nd hand that its got about as much horse power as mine,

Again i just nod.

Days pass by and people at work talk about the two cars and of course I got the v8 so they say mine is cool and all. Realize I don't put her car down. I say its pretty quick and all that.

People at work must give her grief, because she takes it out on me.
She tells me I don't know how to drive my car for whatever reason, because I drive my car slow and she tells me she could take me in the top speed cause my engine is too heavy but I might be able to beat her off the line. I just nod.

Well finally me against her at the track. It was so nice to burn out my tires flying by her for the win. On the slow down, I gave her the good ole shooter mcgavin grin and gun.

So now at work, right when she starts with her talk, I just give her the shooter mcgavin grin and gun and walk away. She's a good sport about it now and just smiles.

But really she just gets crap from others im sure and you were the release for her frustration. Its really good that you know better and just smile and let her get away with it in front of others. To me that shows your a better person then most. And of course you and her know the truth to the matter so its all good. And at least she has enough guts to go to the track with you, heck most guys I know that talk crap wont go to the track and put their pride where their mouth is.

Well, you can't really give her crap for ragging on you at work. She bought a shiny red and pretty car, and then not much later, you went out and bought the same thing, only bigger and better, in the same color, and kinda rained on her parade. If I didn't know you two were friends at work, I would think you're kind of a dick. At least buy a different color, right?

But that's cool that the two of you went to the track and settled it. Her claims are obviously erroneous, but I'd keep the peace by not bragging. At the end of the day she just wants to feel good about her car, as she should, because she really like(d) it when she bought it and wanted to show it off.

Nothing against the V6 drivers here, hell I own a Pontiac G6 w/ a V6 but the most annoying thing I find is people who brag about their car being faster than a Camaro SS and it's a stock I4 or V6. Again the Camaro's stock V6 has all in the world to brag about, its a fantastic engine but please don't say its faster than an SS.

I'm just not the type to brag like that so maybe that's what really bothers me I let my car speak for itself

that's a good one, lol. 376 isn't really small. 327, 283, 290...small.

I built a 7.5L V8 for my muscle car. It's a nice engine, with enough torque to beat a tow truck in a tug of war. But I wouldn't go around called a 6.2L "small". That's kinda ignant
