Hi from Reno :)

Hello everyone.

Ever since I was old enough to be aware of the fact that I would some day be driving, I have wanted a Camaro. I used to lust after the good old days of the '68 and '69, but I was instantly hooked with Gen 5 arrived.

I have been saving over the past 2 years and had kind of given up on finding a lightly used Camaro in our area. This past Saturday on a whim, my husband and I decided to drive to the Carson City GM/Chevy dealer and check out the 3 new beauties. I hadn't saved enough to purchase one, but I wanted to start researching regardless.

I told my story to the nice sales guy who came out to greet us. I about fell on the ground when he said that they had a lightly used 2010 that had just been pulled off the trailer that morning - they hadn't even had the chance to clean the dust off. He took us around to the back lot, and there she was... she had almost every detail I had been looking for, and she was in great condition with 14K miles. Even though I've always admired the Synergy green or Jewel Red, I knew I couldn't walk away without her when he said they could give her to me at KBB. They even moved my license plate frame from my old Saturn Ion coupe without me asking!

She doesn't have the power and mods that a lot of you guys have, but I am SO excited to have her in my life. I have been reading the boards since this past weekend and loving it, so I thought I would de-lurk and say hello!

Anyone near Reno?

Congrats on the new purchase i hope you in enjoy her she is beautiful. i just bought new 2013 today 2LS Grey i love it... Long lives the V6

Mersades, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Linda, thanks for the info.... I will check those out! My dream would be Camaro5 Fest in Reno for 2013.... Nice weather and Hot August Nights to follow up on the second weekend of August. A girl can dream!
