Wow I can tell no one likes to give the v6 credit unless they own one I have all bolt ons and it's easily a upper 13 sec car with cams I'm getting I should be at. SS times and the sure charged ones are running 4.7 0-60 and high 12s with no other mods. But in the looks depo the frs is pretty sexy

IMO, the car looks good...but it sure as hell isn't a 25k car.

With mods, any car can be a beast.

How is that? It is a light weight sports car with a specific chasis designed for handling, a 1 off motor available on in the BRZ and FR-S in it's DI form. The cost is not shared with any sedan nor was it made to handle a sedan. IMHO, 25k is a steal for what you get in engineering alone.

The other factor is that while incomes are not rising but everything costs more these days. The sad truth is that if you want any level of performance $20-30k is a pretty inexpensive car. I can't think of anything under $25k that I could call a performance vehicle without rolling my eyes.

My neighbors SCION. He let me drive it and it does handle well but is slow as shit. Looks very clean n mean but still not close to the camaro. And msrp is 26k.. Radio looks like it was in the
60s. I was actually going to get this instead of my camaro but they took too long to release. It is a great looking car, but im glad i stuck with chevy

It sure would and yep I would. But you have a V6 now so we know who be eating whose dust. Don't get all defensive. It is what it is.

Drove the FR-S.

Interior is awful. It reminded me of the cheap cobalt the GM dealership gave me while they had my Camaro.

The seats were comfy, but unlike the BRZ, the scion didn't come leather equipped.

It drove amazingly well, and was really fun to whip around in. The cornering/handling was wicked. Scalpel-like. Very very precise.

Power was non existant though. You can't drive a 400+ HP V8, and then move into the FR-S and be happy with the power. That said, power isn't everything.
I love the 411 HP in my truck, and I loved the 426 in the Camaro SS.... But the FR-S was more fun to boot around in.

It is enough power for me. as a daily driver.. But it isn't impressing anyone, especially with the limp torque.

I am willing to bet if they update the interior a little in the STI, and it puts out in the very least.. 260'ish HP... preferably 300+ with appropriate torque.... this car is going to be a riot..

In it's current state, the scion is having problems with panel fitment, and tail-light condensation... And they just suck interior wise... But it is probably aimed more at those who are going to strip out the interior to build a track car anyway.

The BRZ comes better equipped, but compared with other '13 model vehicles.. It is lacking still.

I am considering getting a BRZ, but my gut tells me that the STI isn't that far off, and will be a massive improvement. So for the time being I am leaning towards the VW Golf R or just keeping my Raptor.

Love the Camaro, and miss it.. But I am not getting one until I can justify two vehicles. I didn't enjoy the visibility for driving 7 days / week as a primary & only vehicle. I'll get another one when I can justify it as a weekend warrior.

Neat little car for what it is, and the teenage crowd will eat it all up with mommy and daddy's money.

But in the end, it's just another 2 door econobox that's slow as dirt. Sure it can take corners well, but when you're going 50% slower than another car around a corner I sure hope so. Heck, my mom's minivan can make surgical knife precision corners at 10mph through a parking lot...doesn't mean the car is a corner carver.
