Yes, that Missy Franklin is something else, isn't she? I cried during the medal ceremony... I'm a sappy old fart.

Stepping in to say, "hey y'all!" Have been lurking for a long time now. But since you're coming to my corner of the world I shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet some of you!

Living in Indy for too many years but was born and raised in Orlando, FL. Have lived in Georgia and South Carolina. Hang out in Tennessee and North Carolina often. Visit Oklahoma City occasionally. I am just a displaced Southern Belle. Not real fond of that "OF" title you use here but I fit.

Purchased my 2010 2LT Red Jewel "Lady" for an appropriate ride for my mid life adventure! Although it is also my daily driver. So where do I find this group tomorrow?

Gary, love the 3 stooges smiley! I saw the PNW thread with the GTG you're planning at Wally's. That place looks so cooooool! Do they have they old-timey speakers, window trays and car hops, like the old A&W Root Beer Stands? God, I miss those. Have a great time!
Hi Linda, sorry we haven't chatted in awhile. As you can see, I still seem to have my hands full. What was I thinking?!
Yes. Wally's has all that stuff. Even a small dining room with nostalgic & automotive decor. If you've seen the Chevrolet 100 year anniversary special, (I think it aired on SPEED channel, the one where Scott Settlemire makes a brief appearance), they showed a bunch of Tri-fives and interviewed their owners. They were at the XXX Drive-in where we had our Camaro show earlier this month. The owner of the XXX, Jose', was interviewed for the show, and I just happened to recognize him when I was there. We talked a bit, and when he found out where I was from, he asked me if I knew about Wally's. He, not surprisingly, knows the owner.
When I was wracking my brain to come up with a location for this event, that conversation came to mind. I realized I had a good location right in my own town. So it all comes together this Saturday. I wish you and all my OF friends could come! I think it will be fun, no matter how many show up, but I now think I have some idea of what it felt like for you when you were putting WCOFF together. I'm having some fun, and looking forward to it, but I think I will be glad when it's in the books too.Name: smiley-gen165.gif

Oh Yeah - now here's what they don't tell you about doing something like this, although you may have already figured this out: You won't even have 1 in the books and you're already planning your second and third..... It's like modding your car - once you start, you never stop.

Ahhhhh the joys of DIY dishwasher repair I think we found the clog, hubby just went to try and find a longer snake to get to it. Wish us luck... I'd rather not have to replace a dishwasher right when I want to get my wheels done.

I won't be there until noon Friday but will be in the Wyndham West too. I'm posting my user name "stlrammer" in my winshield in BIG font with small photos and may have a poster with the user names of all of my C5 friends. I hope folks will see it and say hello. Look for the Rally Yellow 1SS with Black Rally Stripes (wantabee bumblebee) with 8X11 sign in front windshield saying "stlrammer."

Hey Lady! Welcome aboard. I will be very busy but you should be able to find me. Ruby wil be located under the Apex motorsports vendor tent. I'll hang out there some. I will be with my Music City Camaro club folks some (look for their banner), Ruby will be in the exhaust line-up after the cruise, running both drag & autocross races and of course there will be the parking lot games on Friday evening. I will cruise in with the Texas Camarovan crew on Tomorrow evening 7:30ish is the target arrival time.

Some of us will be there tomorrow, some Thursday. My car has a Georgia plate with RedHawt on the back............may have to identify us with our cars...........But welcome. I live in Georgia, but spend some time in North Carolina and originally from Oklahoma, so I spend some time there too....family and friends are all still there........
