Why oh why do they keep putting the brake lever on the driver side?

Also read that the trunk release button is in a very bad spot and opens on accident.

What is your infatuation with the brake lever all about. The lever is on the driver's side of the center console in a cutout section. It's not like it is next to the console. The console is in the center of the car so the brake lever wouldn't make a difference to the driver or passenger no matter which side it was on.

it's a complete non issue. It's not like it sticks out from the console. If your leg is hitting the lever, then your leg would be hitting the console regardless. And if your leg is hitting that, then you must be one morbidly obese mofo.

Thanks,

I live in the Panhandle and ordered the car from Treadwell Ford in Mobile. This is the 2nd GT500 I have bought from them, they are a really good Dealership with great service. I highly recommend them,

Steve

The car is somewhat improved over the 2009 I had, with suspension upgrades and 540 HP. The interior is also upgraded.

The 8 weeks will seem like 8 months since I have already sold my 2009.

Now....... if and when the camaro prices come down to earth I will add that Rally yellow SS to the stable but it may have to come with an automatic transmission so my wife can drive it also.

Steve
You must have lots of money.. Congrats..

Agree, the brake lever is nicely tucked, fairly compact, and quite natural to set. Less than a non-issue.......

Very nice, congrats on the 2010.

As for the hand brake, the Camaro 4th and 5th gen at least, are the only cars I know of with the brake on the passenger side. At least its not to your left between the seat controls and the door like on my old porsche 944.

Congrats on your purchase. I hope you enjoy it as you did with your '09.

Awesome car - If the Camaro had not come back, I would probably get the GT500.
