^^ Why not? I'm a member here cause I like camaros too. Just because someone drives a Mustang or Camaro doesn't mean they have to be diehard brand loyal to Ford or Chevy.

usually from my experience people prefer and defend the car that they own or drive, is this not true? I like a lot of cars, but I don't go to a challenger forum to tell them how fast my ss is or what, I come to a camaro forum to talk about the camaro, nothing else, unless it involves eating the camaros dust.

no I think you still lose, 5.0>7.0, this is clearly stated in the mustangs owner's manual.

If its not in a mustang, you lost man, no seriously, do you think the mustang would be faster if it had an Ls3 in it?

honestly, not really. 426 HP to 420 HP.

I'm impressed that they got 420 out of 5.0 while GM got 426 in 6.2. So HP to L ratio, they have 84 HP per liter while GM has 68.7 HP per liter.

Even with the Shelby compared to the ZL1. They got 650+ HP out of a supercharged 5.8L while GM got 580+ HP out of the supercharged 6.2L.

Is it really enough to brag that one is faster than the other, no. Because so far each car has its own strengths over the other and having the choice between the two, and add in the challenger, is what makes the American muscle car war so awesome!!!

I beg to differ. I see more Camaro fans lynching Mustang fans than Mustang fans bashing Camaro fans, even when they actually bring some valid points to the table. Yeah, I own a 2012 2SS, and I like it. It's no better or worse than a Mustang, Challenger, GT/R, whatever.

I get sick of the fanboys waving the Camaro flag a little too high. I think we should respect each others preferences, and appreciate the fact that we're all car enthusiasts.

I think the 13 stang is hot, love the new headlights. I think it looks very masculine, very tough. And yes the 5.0 is incredible, truly incredible.

But the Camaro is like a moving sculpture. You guys are numb to the beauty of this car. There are still a lot of people who've never been up close and personal with the Camaro. They only know it from the movies. Frankly, people treat my Camaro like a Ferrari when I'm gassing up or sitting at a stop light. This truly is one of the greatest designs in recent automotive history.

Throwing in a 6.2 that goes 0-60 in 4.7 is just a bonus!
