Well yes but if your going to set the bar that low . . . the Silverado 1500 (regular cab) WT is just a little heavy.

lol i drove a ls2 variant with hood scoops manual transmision and i do agree these was a bargian buy and i wish it would have stqayed in canada because i would be buying that car... instead of my 350z...it had power and was a great car... in almost every way... and you can appreciate the style and how...boring i guess...it looks... in todays world(canada)cops are everywhere and these car would shatter thier hopes and dreams of following every 18 year old in exotic looking fast cars (350z,corvette...etc) but i LOVED LOVE LOVE LOVED it ... IMHO this is truly truly an oudstanding car and value... its a 4 seater corvette 15000 less

My brother had one, my mom liked it so much, she bought one... my only complaint is getting in and out of the back is the biggest pain in the @$$!!! And I’m 5ft1inch… But other then that, it's really a great car with some odd quirks... such as 2 hour rest reminders, and it’ll freak out if you lock the doors before you close them.

+1 on the back seats. When I go out with my friends they say we have to leave the house a half hour early just so they will have time to get in and out. And I'm pretty sure you can turn the rest reminder off in the DIC (I think you have to press the up or down arrows on the little panel beside the instrument panel when the car is first firing up and change the settings there).

your choice of a gto should be between the 05' and the 06'. because of the added horsepower, and of course, well, the hood scoops. i would say that many people overlook these cars, and dont see the 400hp, 0-60 in around 4 sec engine. but back to the model year. supposedly there is no difference between the 05 and 06 other than a door lock button in the center console, and that the seats move 'faster'.
my brother has just bought an 05 and he loves it. i too, have pretty much worshiped it for the past several months. also, on the weight issue, though the 'goat' is said to weigh alot. 3,200 isnt that bad compared to lets say, the (forgive me for saying this word) mustang shelby 500gt. not to mention the great price for such a powerful car. overall, i believe the gto is capable of holding its own, if youre looking for a high performance car. as long as you dont care about gas, or you just cant wait for the camaro. id suggest the buy.

and i forgot to mention. the car is very easy to modify. after just adding something simple such as black rims, and window tint, the car really stands out. my brothers came with 4 red leather bucket seats, which made for an amazing interior.

the car pretty much looks/feels like sex

I'd definitely rock a GTO from 2005. It's going to cost less than 2006 and any G8, allowing you to save for the Camaro. Remember, guys, this is intended to be a holdover car and a G8 is no holdover.

I drive an '05 M6 and never before have I made up excuses to go somewhere just b/c I wanted to drive it. I hope the Camaro has the lumbar seats like the GTO. I think everyone should test drive a GTO - that's one of the problems. Apparently the dealers were being pricks and not giving test drives (in addition to overpricing them)when they first came out. I will add the following caveat however - if you test drive one you may suddenly find yourself signing the papers to take it home.

This was Bumblebee in Transformers, I might add, with a different body. IMO, driving this will give you some idea what the 5th gen. Camaro will drive like.
