Yesterday was my father-in-law's birthday. We had him over for dinner, and spent some time making him laugh, which he needs, since today is the one year anniversary of my mother-in-law's death. :( It's been a tough year, but everyone is going on with life, just as my mom-in-law would have wanted. Bob has a girlfriend now, I really like her - she calls him buzzard bait I think Kate would approve .

Weird weather we're having here. Fell asleep to a thunderstorm last night, and it's still going on now. In my 40 years in WA, I have never seen so many thunderstorms here. LOVING IT!!! But I hope Mother Nature gets it out of her system soon. Ladybug needs a bath, and the Thunderbirds are in town for an airshow at McChord AFB. I watched them fly over my work during lunch yesterday, and was almost too excited to go back in to work!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!
Linda, Jan, how was your get together last night??
Good Morning Jeanette. Love the Dancing Cat. Glad your father-in-law has some one in his life.

We had 11 or 12 cars at Chili's last night for a midweek meetup. Jan, Mike and Mike's Cousins were enjoying Chili's before we arrived but they took a break to check out the cars and then we all headed back into the restaraunt together, and enjoyed dinner.

It's always great to meet Camaro Fans fro other parts of the country!

Jan and Mike, it was great meeting you and your cousins. I hope you enjoyed lue Man Group and that you have a safe flight home.

Good evening just got back from full day at Pearl Harbor.Wiped out. It took 50 yrs to get there but WOW Emotional is all we can say. Got a backstage tour of the Pacific Air Museum just by chance. Was like that little kid again inside. Spoke with two survivors and another's daughter who was signing her late father's book. Some tears were shead. Speechless and got goosebumps. Will get some pix up later.

So how many from here are going to C5Fest? Look forward to seeing some great photos.
I really want to visit that memorial someday. Those guys and gals really were the greatest generation.

The vet started going over her, got to the ears and the dog flipped out, tried to nip him. He recommended that the dog was unstable, unpredictable, and should be put down.
I told her to bring her down and let me do an evaluation (as a dog trainer)to see if I think the dog's irredeemable. My God, what a smart, sweet dog. She HAS tried to nip at 2 people who tried to ruffle her *infected* ears. No shit! My suggestion was to take her to a different vet and ask for something to knock her out a bit first, as the ears are very tender and sore but be sure to say she's tried to nip because they are so tender. A valium and a muzzle, this dog will do fine.
Why would a vet not try this route before saying "put the dog down"?
I did recommend she bring the dog in for a training class plus lots more exercise than she's currently getting, plus get the book "Living With High Energy Dogs" and LIVE it. Her old boxer was very mellow, she needs to step her self up a notch to give this dog ways to burn off all that energy.
Anyway, I'm very glad Moonpie was given some help to keep his mom company a while longer. 2nd opinions are priceless!
Happy Friday everyone! My project before work is getting the silver paint on the wheels I've been working on. It's turning out pretty good, given it's my first time trying to fix curbed rims

Good Morning Friday. Morning from my point of view anyway. Now I'm off to make the donuts. I will be so glad when this week is over. Life would be so much simpler if I could just beat some sense into a certain young applications programmer.

I think I'm gonna have a bad attitude until tonight is over.

I have a kind of long story about the Arizona Memorial. I don't have time to type it in right now. When I get some time I'll type it in so everyone can read. Suffice it to say, that place certainly does bring up some memories and emotions.

Found it a very moving and humbling experience.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by the senseless brutality of the events in CO:(

If I remember they call the oil drops that arise from the ship as Sailors Tears. I have been there Many times. Hawaii is one of my favorite Vacations spots. I have been lucky enough to have stayed on every island. I stopped in Hawaii on my way to Vietnam. We had a layover there for 9 hours. I promised myself I'd return someday and enjoy. Go someday if you can!!!! "BEAUTIFUL" <<<<< And your keeping the Vacation Dollar's in AMERICA <<<< " )
