um...when you start to back out of a parking lot, don't go into first without coming to a complete stop.
So it's okay to do this at every light until you learn?

Haha, that's the same rule for an Auto.

Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I've heard this from a lot of people, but I don't know what that means.
yeah, you can do it at every light. although if you are on a flat surface and won't roll back, then you can release the brake, and just ease off the clutch until you feel the car catch.

don't ride the clutch means if you are going downhill, don't put the car in neutral and keep your foot on the clutch. lots of people do this.

basically, don't put your foot on the clutch unless you plan on shifting gears. don't even rest your foot on the pedal.

Yea I wouldn't put the brake in on a flat surface

I never thought to do that. Even in my auto I just take my foot off the gas and let her coast or slightly keep my foot on the gas.

Interesting. I never did that even when learning to drive. When learning to drive I just keep my left foot in same place in my auto to the side on the fake pedal area. People do that?
