False - In all my working days I have never had a two week vacation other than when I was unemployed twice ('81 & '91).

True. 1982-1984. Drove an old Audi 80... wide open on the autobahn was around 90 mph.

Yup. Around the same time you were there. US Army, Germany 83-86. I had a Porche 914 and if I pedalled real hard, downhill with a tail wind I could break 120mph on the Autobahn.

Drag strips are VERY rare here in France. So far, since 1st June, I have seen just one American car, a new Corvette. And its driver was a real snob who wouldn't even acknowledge my friendly greeting (all in proper French, of course).
