tuning.. too. you need a laptop haha
He's rebuilt a 350 so he's good then, lol.

Tuning... that's what i am concerned about. I am mainly concerned with the whole cost factor of this entire build.

rebuilt? Please, Please, PLEASE! do not use plastigauge on this engine.

tuning can be done relatively cheap if you know someone with HPtuners.

what is your budget?

Plastigauge?

I would like to be around $6500 for my entire ls1/T56 swap. That's what I figured to rebuild my 455 and put a 4 speed in.

plastigauge is a way of measuring engine parts.. definitely not suitable for high performance builds..many kaboom factors will happen.

and 6500. tight budget.

how much do you think you can find a trans for?

$1500ish. I was just thinking stock rebuild, maybe even a cam.

bore .020-.030 over.. use same rotating assembly minus pistons/rings/bearings.

new cam, springs, retainers and such.

should only run you 2500-3 for all that. and push 450 wheel pretty damn easily.

I'd be pretty happy with 350 to the wheels

I am hoping it won't need machine work... That is if I can buy it.

This will be a long term project.
