punk kids

i know theres been thousands of threads like this but this morning i go to the gas station and pumping gas and 3 punk kids dressed like punk kids was just destroying verbally at my car and myself and it was all i could take to not fire back at them but that only makes it worse. so rather than talk back i just told them thanks for the compliments and drove away. If i ever would find out my son was talking like that to a stranger he better pray mom begs for mercy.

I stutter too so that would have made things worse for me if i got stuck on a word.

Too many parents today drop the ball and never teach respect for others or their property. Good for you on not dropping to their level in reaction. Haters are gonna hate, so enjoy your car and let them rot in their own private world.

I'm 28 and got this group of kids in my neighborhood always dropping f bombs out loud and I mean loud I'll be in the garage cleaning my car. Now I did have one of them ask how my car sounds so mean. But all in all no respect coming from the new younger generation

I am 24 and I feel this exact same way...the newer generation seems to be born with a sense of entitlement as if everything should be given to them. They act as if they are uniquely special in some absurd way....

Don't even get me started. I work with 12-15 year olds.

It's just like that video of the way those middle school students treated that lady on the school bus. Complete disrespect.

And unfortunately it starts at home with the parents.

You could not have said it better. I used to live in a area where this one dead beat mother lived. She was the most self appointed, entitled, self praising b**** I have ever met. She had no job, did nothing for anyone, but she treated everyone and acted as if her and her son were some queen/prince combo that were to be danced around. Those kids are lucky it wasn't my husband - he stutters too, but if he gets stuck on a word and someone starts to trash talk about it he shuts them up right quick. 3 would not have been a big enough group for him to back down. Not saying YOU didn't do the right thing, OP, just that those kids will run into someone who won't tolerate it one of these days.
Honestly - there is a group of about 20 kids that have been lurking downtown spokane and they are ganging up on people, beating them senseless and running off before the cops can get there. It's getting ridiculous, they are considering a curfew downtown, which will just send them off into neighborhoods instead.

Im 43 and if i had ever disrespected someone like that my dad would have beat my ass !!!! even to this day my dad would still beat my ass for acting like that...dont understand these kids today..my daughter is 14 and we were at the mall the other day and she dropped an f bomb on me and her ass got tore up....she still is not talking to me...
