I'm from EP and my parents always remind me
when we used to drive to LC I felt like I was going to Mexico, and would complain that I didn't know spanish (I actually called it Mexican at the time, still don't know spanish)
I also now know its not part of Mexico

I've had a passport since I'm 19 years old...my kids have had their own passports since they're 2 months and 4 months...

When we were first moving to NH and my mom told someone, the girl actually said "where is that?" and my mom said in New England and the girl had no idea that was part of the US

Yeah, but that's different!! Ppl from like Kansas think you need a passport to come to New Mexico. THAT is how bad it is!!
