I grew up in California, in Santa Monica/Culver City/Pacific Palisades. I went to a Jr. High School called Paul Revere Jr. High. One of my classmates was a guy named Tony Alva.

Now, I didn't hang out all the time with the Dog Town guys, but there were some times where I did skate with them. I remember Tony introducing me to the new eurothane wheels. Was blown away that something could be that cool.

Anyways, that summer there was a drought in Southern California. Most people were draining there pools to save water. I went once with Tony & his friends to a pool, skated a bit...but mostly watched them because they were WAY better than me.

So, we still had to trespass to do it, but at least we didn't have to drain the pools

When I was like 6 a girl (few yrs older) came over and took my new bike out of the garage, actually told my mom I gave her permission to drive it. I seen her driving it and told her to put back, she said no and drove off. I chased on my old bike and threw a metal cap gun at her. Hit her in the back of the head and knocked her off the bike. I took the bike home and hid. Her dad came down pissed and I got in trouble, she got a headache

On my teens my cousin and I drove a riding lawn mower into a lake. Long story

I'll start with mine.

I was about 5 or 6 years old, and was in my moms 65 Mustang (6 cylinder). She had pulled into our driveway which was sloped downwards towards the garage at about a 5-7 degree incline. She had stopped by the house door, and the driveway continued straight to the garage for about 30 more feet.

She had gotten out to take groceries inside the house with my brother, and left me in the car. I decided to explore the car a little, and got up into the front seat. Boy that parking brake looked interesting when my mom pulled on it earlier. Twist-snaaaapp. The car starts rolling downhill towards the garage and hits the right side of it, doing some damage to both.

I must have not liked Fords then either...
Pretty much the same thing I did. Back in '72 I was 4 years old and the family used to go hang out in our trailer at this campground. I fell asleep on the way there this one time. I woke up alone in the front seat. I remember opening my eyes to see a pretty blue sky and the temperature was quite warm. I rolled over to the driver's seat and pretended to cruise the old chevy station wagon. The wagon was parked up a fair incline and I decided to disengage the parking brake. Meanwhile, my older sister was sitting on the tailgate. The car started rolling and picked up speed, heading towards some hippies sitting at some picnic benches at the bottom of the hill. My sister hopped off the tailgate and the hippies vamoosed in time before I smashed up 3 picnic benches.

Reading this thread reminded me of going camping at Young State Park in Charlevoix. I think it was 1985. So I was 9. My cousin met a friend up there Courtney.

My cousin and her friend went into the parks store, but Courtney and Carrie left their bikes outside the store. Courtney had a small purse. She didn't keep any money in that, but she left it on the bike.

Since there happened to be a small pond next to the store, and I happened to be one of the kids that loved to catch frogs. Well you can guess what I did.

When Courtney caught up to me, she kept saying "You put a frog in my purse"
The other kids around just would give me looks on their faces as they held back their laughter.

My wifes co-worker heard about this, and said she would have killed me. I guess for some reason she is afraid of frogs. But she is ok with snakes, taratulas, lizards and such.

Around 7 yrs old , I pulled the plug on my uncles speed boat while it was tied to the dock. It sank to the bottom. I got my bottom warmed up good.

At 9 I took my .22 automatic with a buddy and his single shot rifle to a car salvage yard. We shot all the pocket fulls of bullets we had at headlights , windows, mirrors on almost every car. Owner showed up at the doorstep the next day. I got my bottom warmed up real good .. for a few days...

You mean like when you're twelve, and you catch the neighborhood hottie doin' your older brother on a mattress out behind the garage, and you let her know that you're gonna' tell her father unless she does you too?

When I was in 7th grade I straightened out a paper clip, pushed it through a pencil eraser, then put the tip of that pencil into another pencil eraser and stuck that bad boy in an electrical socket in my Spanish class. The teacher was in the hallway at the time. The socket immediately started spitting flames and made this crazy sort of feedback sound, then the power in the entire hallway went out and all the kids in every class spilled into the hall to see what was happening. The teacher came back in and burst into tears almost instantaneously. I still feel bad for the teacher, but boy was that one hell of an experiment.
