I am unsure on the RMAH...

The chinese gold farmers seemed to do VERY well selling gold, mats and items in WOW. If there was not a market, and did not make a good return on their investment, they would not have done it. I do not think it will be any different in Diablo 3. If I remember correctly, there was quite the black market for diablo II items also.

When listing an auction, you have to select where the funds are to be deposited. If you selected your BNET balance, then those funds are stuck there to be used only for Blizzard games or game time. You can't use BNET balance for any WoW vanity pets, mounts, or collectibles from their store. To get your money through Paypal, you have to attach your Paypal account to your Battle.net account first (under payment options) and then select it as the deposit destination when listing an auction on the RMAH. This will result in the $1 fee and 15% transfer fee to Paypal.

We did find a way around this, though. I listed an item for $59 (what my wife made on her legendary sword) to be deposited to my Paypal. She purchased it with her BNET balance and voila, cash on hand

As I said above, it depends on where you select your payment to be deposited when you're listing an item to sell.

As far as your condescending message at the end, to each their own. Some people find it frivolous to spend money on a nice sports car when a simple sedan for 1/3 the price will suffice.

1.0.3 patch today. 20k repair cost after dying to molten fast mortar dogs in act 1, fu.ck you Blizzard. Fu.ck you. Also 15k less damage on my Demon Hunter and 7k less on my Witch Doctor. I just lost a lot of respect for this company.

Diablo III’s Latest Update Blocks Some Players From Gaining XP

It's being widely reported by users on the game's official forums that a bug in the latest update blocks players from getting any experience points and level-caps their followers at level 13.

Apparently just changing your password "fixes" this issue.

One good thing I can say about the updates is that the distance on diablos minions is shorter, by shorter I mean when i move before they swing it doesnt hurt me.

I havent had time to play since the patch... has anyone tried act 2 in inferno yet since the patch? Did the difficulty gap from act 1 really change at all?

Ok, after I had some time to fume yesterday and really get down to the nitty gritty... I still hate these repair costs and think they're ridiculously high, but overall the game play has improved.

The damage definitely went down a lot. My witch doctor is in Act 4 Inferno still and can take a hit without dieing, unless its a really powerful hit from one of the big gargoyles, etc. In Act II, everything was a lot easier but there are still certain elite/rare packs that will tear you to shreds. I must have spent 100k on repairs all last night.

Having a 5 stack of Nephalem Valor really makes running the entire act worthwhile. My wife and I got a 5 stack in Act 1, cleared the Butcher, and then went back and killed all the elites we could find. Getting at least 1 rare item from each pack is really nice. I actually got an upgrade for my chest armor. It was only a few hundred dps increase, but it gave me over 2k health and 250 armor. It's the first inferno drop that's been an upgrade for me. I got a few other things that may sell for 20-50k on the AH and one ring that could net 200k+, but that's it. The rest of it was vendor fodder.
