Again, I do believe the info so far is that the 2012 GT500 edged out the 2013 Gt500 on the figure eight, and the 2013 is not quite where the Boss LS is on the lower speed twisties.

The Boss LS actually slightly out did the ZL1 on the slower sharper corners, but the ZL1 was able to push through in and out of fast corners with better time than the Boss LS consistently.

Why the 2013 GT500 with it's stiffer damping is not out doing the 2012 GT500 on figure eights is hard to understand.

I'll say it again, if the rear fixed axel monocoque issue was solved better and wider tires were put on the 2013 GT500, I think it would have better hard runs through hard fast corners. We'll see in the next couple of weeks when the ZL1 and the GT500 square off on the same road course, but I don't see the new GT500 being faster in corners than the Boss LS frankly... Erik

I am really looking forward to some real head to head information. That, hopefully, will reduce the number of rediculous opinions being shared in this thread. There are a few new Shelby owners here and I am interested to hear their thoughts and experiences with the car. Same goes for the ZL1 owners.

If you do not have one of these cars, your opinion is not really adding anything to the thread. Feel free to post, by all means, but fewer opinions please. The links to the magazine reviews and chassis dyno runs are all good. Observations from these reviews are good. We don't really need the opinions about the content. Let's just let the information come in and in relatively short order we will have a good cross-section of reviews from which to understand where these cars are in a head to head situation.

Until then try to be observant and factual and let's cut down on all of the opinions.

The so called Ford sites are much more open to other brand car discussions, especially when it comes to comparing and contrasting to the Mustang and even criticizing the Mustang without repercussion. Well at least the 2 Ford sites I visit. See the thing is we like our cars but the enthusiasts and engineers of FMC products always think there's room for improvement if we just listen and learn. You along with a few others are an exception. You don't come in here to intentionally bash and put down our cars. You also respect our opinions even though they differ from yours. I have no beef with you and those that have respect for us and our house.

Someone sent me a link to whatever Camaro blog that was that put my car up after I received it.

I'm looking forward to getting a ride in a ZL1 sometime. Hoping at a car get together around Fort Wayne I can find one.

In my "perfect" neighbourhood I'm surrounded by Boss 302's, GT500's, ZL1's (and the future NA track car), ZR1's and some decent import iron and we all get to drive each others cars from time to time.
